Tony was born and raised in New Paltz, NY, the Hudson Valley region of New York state. Growing up in family restaurants, pizzerias, local diners and frequenting great New York City cuisine, he quickly developed a love for fine food. At age 27, Tony's family had already established a fine dining Italian restaurant in SW Florida where he would often visit and enjoy a working vacation. His greatest feelings of accomplishment came from feeding people. In 1996 they made plans to open another restaurant in North Naples, so Tony relocated and took on the opportunity to Chef in SW Florida, running Gabriello's of N.Y. The Italian restaurant seated 150 guests along with the adjoining Manhattan Bar & Grill accommodating another 60 guests. There they served the best pizza in Naples for over a decade. When Tony's grandfather fell ill in 2007, the family decided to sell the restaurant in Naples and pursue another endeavor, opening a B&B in the Catskill mountains of New York state. At that time, Tony decided to stay in Naples and experience working in private clubs. Tony joined us at PIYC in December of 2007. He has developed a great love for the Club, always exciting to take on new challenges while continuing his culinary passions.
